"A century ago, no one would've guessed the United States would have a biracial president. Many thought mixed-race people were destined to lead tragic lives, fitting into neither the black world nor the white one."

We don't do any of that stuff!
We've just got kids!
Who knew you had to do all kinds of special stuff just cos me and their dad are from different countries and are different colours.
It doesn't appear to have mattered so far, so I'm sure they'll be ok.

I do 3 of those 4 things (not the school one) and most people I know do too, regardless of the race of their children Confused

It's just part of life surely, eating foods from different cultures, talking about different countries, discussing racism and differences between people.

This stuff really irritates me.

Erm, I don't really see the point. I'm mixed and thus my kids are too. I don't see the point of forcing my youngest to eat Chinese food when he hates it. :p
