Something easier than AdSense?

Is there an easier way to get ads on my blog?

I'm not very techy and the AdSense setup process make me feel all stabby.

I am in the process of going rogue and getting Adsense on my page. I'd be interested to read what others have to say.

I can't actually get Adsense. I don't know why, and there's no support. I think there are secret things you need to do to get it working, but they don't tell you what.

Is your blog hosted for free? I don't know about blogspot but I do know that with Wordpress you are not permitted to have Adsense unless you self host i.e you don't have Wordpress as part of your email address.

They're both Google products so it shouldn't be a problem with Bogsplot.

I'm learning so much on these forums. I originally started my blog on blogspot but it was quite clunky and I got "disapproved" by Adsense (horrible feeling) so I went over to Wordpress. Now I'm looking to self host so I can make a bit of money. Hopefully.

There's so much to take in!

  1. Nothing is easier than AdSence and with any other add broker you will nod to get a code and insert it somewhere on your site.
  2. blogger allow it by rules but I don't know how to put it on blogger site yet.
  3. You need to have your site approved

You got "disapproved" not because your site is on blogger. You might get "disapproved" when you'r selfhosted. I thik they have a guide why they disapprove sites. Check in which category you are and improve in that area.

zanuda, TBH, my site was only created on Blogger for one day so it may have been because I had zero views and only one post! I then went to Wordpress and haven't applied again. I intend to self host in the next few weeks and will try again then.

Thanks for the advice!

Wordpress doesn't allow adds, only some of their own and they will have big share of earnings. At list that's how I understood the rules. Was studying it - because I've just started one project and wanted to have the option of some earning if it will do well. So I ended up with blogger.

Yes I heard that Wordpress.com sites don't accept ads as they host for free so keep ad revenue.

However, I read that you can use adsense with Wordpress.org where you self host via Wordpress ( and pay to do so).

However , I am still reading the book on this, so being cautious before I do anything.

Better choose good hosting which runs wordpress sites and suits your requirements and have with good support (so they would help you or at least guide you if something happens).
