How much do you charge for sidebar adverts?

Hi! I've been approached by a company to host an ad on the sidebar, you know one of those 150x150 boxes, but I have no idea what to charge per month! What is the going rate, is there a going rate...so many questions!

I think this is an "as long as a piece of string" type question. ;)

There are too many variables - not least of which are whether it is appropriate to your site and what it is worth to you. Money can't buy everything...
