I have decided after nearly 7 months of blogging that I want to pack up my current blog, and start a new one. I can't put my finger on it, but my current one is irritating me, and I want a new layout, name etc and I'm not sure why but I'm finding blogger not that great in terms of creativity (that might just be my poor blogging skills!).

I don't, however, want to lose my current posts, so I'd like to move them to my new blog. Does anyone know how this is possible and if it's quite easy? Can you move posts from a blogger to a Wordpress blog? I've seen a couple of blogs that appear to have done this at some point in the past, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do the same!

Can anyone out there help me please? TIA

Not sure about blogger, but on wordpress there are special plugins. Also I run into some manual for wordpress.com. Logically it should be something for blogger on blogger website.

As for moving, if you want selfhost it will give you more flexibility. Otherwise it's possible to change layout, design (to some degree) within the existing blog. The same is with domain name (if you want your own one, if you use bloggers - then not)

Another thing, think about keeping your old blog to promote new one. You move all the content, replace it with short abstracts, link each to appropriate posts. With new posts - put abstracts or some announcement on old blog when you make a new posts on your new blog.
