Any newbies (or anyone else) want to join me on a 'not sure what the heck I'm doing yet' blogging support thread?

Just started blogging, about ten days ago. I'm really enjoying it and buzzing with ideas but I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time and only one man and his dog are reading it! I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat and wanted to hold hands/try and work out what the bejezus SEO is/pull each other through the inevitable days when we'll feel like we don't want to bother.

artifarti don't bother about SEO until you happy with everything on your blog (i.e. static pages, images, design) and have enough content (again - good quality)

If you look for more readers, try to find comunities (like forums, groups on network sites) with similar interests and be active there.

Hi I've just started blogging and would love to share ideas.
One thing I've discovered is that if you tell everyone you know about it and ask them to tell a few people you will get increased views. However, I get people looking but don't have many return visitors. My (extremely difficult) aim is to somehow find people that struggle with reading. I'm also a newbie blogger. I have been blogging for about a week and I am so excited to share my experiences!

I've been getting approx 10 views a day so not too much but I am enjoying what i'm doing and i think that is whats important. At this point perhaps it's best just to get into the habit of writing and joining forums, tweeting etc. Then the followers will come on their own.
