You know the child weight/height measurement programme?

A friend's child's measurement have come back saying he's overweight(which he is). Friend is convinced that the rolls of fat he has are "puppy fat" and keeps asking for for my opinion.

I've tried to bed tactful, saying things like "they assume all children are skinny", "maybe he could be a bit more active". But she keeps asking. Would I be horrid if I just said "yes I think he's overweight and should lose weight".

It is never wise to be honest about friend's children, in my experience. I would just say 'well it is obviously bothering you because you keep asking me- have you thought of................'

Agree with exotic, turn it back on your friend. I would say 'what do you think' and leave it at that, unless they were a very good friend.
