3. To me, this is part of what makes BC so attractive. Add to that, he's kind, respectful, articulate, likes kids, can take a joke, and freely admits that he can't dress himself (although I'm starting to wonder if he now has a stylist as a flatmate). Oh, and he's bloody gorgeous.

Just a question, since sauna use seems to vary from country to country do y'all sauna in the altogether, with a towel wrapped, or (ick), like a lot of Americans do with a swimsuit on? Most Germans seem content to sit on their towels, so there's plenty to see. Because...oh hell, you can all see where I'm going with this. (hangs head in shame)

Well green card from my experience with saunas in the UK we keep our swimming costumes on, so shorts of swimsuit etc...

Continent they let it all hang out esp the Germans and Swedish people.

I have to admit I think it is most likely he was covered up, not only as an English man but also what if someone snapped a piccy of him letting it all hang free in the sauna.

In my opinion that's the best way! Men completely naked is not really that attractive! But in some yummy shorts a girls imagination can run riot!!!! Lol.

Thank you, divadee! I can tell you that my first experience in a German sauna was...well, it took some getting used to. Back in the US, the only place I knew that had one had people use it wearing their swimsuits. That grosses me out now, thinking of the bacteria growing in those wet, warm suits, whereas here most folks just sit on their towels and enjoy the view, so to speak, but there are a few who are wrapped up in towels. I haven't been since before I got pregnant with DS1, and we've moved since then too. Ah, the days when we had time AND money...

I agree that probably for reasons of blogging that he would cover up. (Still, it's a lovely image, regardless of where that towel may be.) But I do feel badly for him -- I mean, the poor man can't even relax at the sports club without some yahoo writing about it and posting it on the internet. I never cease to be amazed and in awe of how respectfully Benedict handles these people, fully aware of what may come of it. I swear, the next time the OED gets a revision, they should include a photo of Benedict in the entry for "gentleman".

One thing I do know I wouldn't be able to speak to BC in a sauna. I would quickly scuttle out looking like a beetroot! Sauna and my fair complexion is not a good look and the sweat that pours off me is gross. I struggle to breathe in a sauna lol.

Now in a jacuzzi that's a different fantasy story all together!

Lawks a mussey me! If I saw BC in the sauna I don't think I could cope. I would fangirl through the steam then explode. Which might be a bit distressing for BC.

I harbour feeble hope that he will come to my town -- it actually does have a link to Parade's End, which will FINALLY have its German premiere on 7 June.
