Are you new to blogging?

I started blogging 1 year ago today. I blogged about my thoughts on that year....addictive, inspiring and time-consuming! What are your thoughts?

What a lovely blog - how on earth would even begin to start?

Congrats on your 1 year milestone! :) Hope you continue to enjoy blogging for many years to come. ;) x

I've only recently started blogging and I love it! Definitely addictive, and as i'm a SAHM i've been blogging when the kids have been napping, instead of doing 'house stuff'- certainly time-consuming!

Quick question- as a fairly new blogger, how did you find out about how 'to do' technical stuff and bits and bobs to make your blog aesthetically pleasing? Any great sites you'd recommend for tutorials?

fcknits · 11/04/2013 21:30

I'm webdev so I already knew how to code. But aesthetics are a matter of taste, so if people rave about your dress-sense and stylish home then you probably have a good idea of how to style your blog! ;) But do pay some attention to the back-end as well as the front.

If you want to learn coding, then w3schools.com is a good place to start.

What CMS do you use for your blog? It's hard to recommend specific sites when we don't know what relates to your website.

This is my fourth month of blogging but my first week listed on MN. I have no idea what to expect. My main aim for the week is to dip in and out of MN blog forums and try to improve my blog through top tips.

I am nervous that I may need to develop a thicker skin than I currently inhabit if any spiky comments start appearing.

I am aiming to post twice a month - I just don't think I could do any more than that. I have to illustrate an entire book in the next ten days as well as directing IGCSE English Language revision for my two teenagers so time is a little short...as ever!

Still...here goes...Big deep breath...
