Trying to teach my daughter to self sooth help x

So DD2 is a pretty crappy sleeper she is 1 we want her to settle herself to sleep as currently I have to hold her to sleep while she fights. I thought I would have a go and CC as I did with DD1 however I don't know what to do as she's not crying just shouting for her sister do I just leave her? Pop in randomly ? Have a glass of wine? Advice much appreciated

I would still go in at intervals and tuck her in.

That's what I have been doing I think I was just expecting a lot more crying
