Question for other food bloggers- what do you do if you use a recipe that has been heavily inspired by a cookbook? If another food blogger I usually write to them and ask them if I can use it, while giving credit. But for this one, well, I adapted it quite a bit,. and acknowledged the original inspiration and gave a link, but otherwise have not asked for prior permission to publish my adaptation.
