Food bloggers - anyone want to contribute a guest post - simple meals for pre teens

I would like to add a Recipes section to Jump! Mag, and need some posts with easy recipes for kids learning to cook.

There is a lot of discussion about kids not being taught to cook, so I thought this would be a good way of encouraging them to get into the kitchen.

I am looking for easy family meals, and would love if they were recipes from other countries.

I'm sure someone will be along...I don't have time but just wanted to say that I admire the mag....I came across it on MN a while ago and then forgot the title! I'm going to intro DD to it this week.

Can I give you a tip? If you need to get yourself higher on Google's rankings, you should get the SEO looked at. I Googled "Girls online mag" and Jump! wasn't on the first page.

I write SEO for a living...because I admire what Jump! stands for, I would be happy to write you some SEO articles for the site at no charge.

I'm not a computer savvy person at all...I provide copy for web design agencies. They do all the twiddly bits...sometimes the articles are hidden deep within a site so nobody but Google reads them...other times they're written to be read.

If you've a designer who understands where to put them, I would write a few for you when I get time.

I am hoping to develop Jump! Mag further and have a survey running at the moment to give me feedback on what parents (and girls) want. Part of this would be a re-design of the website, including SEO.

I have realised that I have come to the end of my techtether - I can do the basics but my skills lie in editing and marketing, not in the tricky SEO stuff and writing code.

In order to do what I want to do with Jump! Mag, I will have to bring in expert help, but first I have to see if the project is viable, which is where the survey comes in. If you wouldn't mind sharing the link, that woudl be fab.

and below is a nutritious and quick to prepare Spanish Omelette

Spanish omelette

Serves 3 ? 4.

Prep 10 mins

Cook 30 mins

Ingredients
? 500g waxy potatoes, such as Charlotte
? 1 tsp vegetable oil
? 2 small onions, finely sliced
? 1 red pepper, finely chopped
? 8-9 free range eggs
? 1 x 25g pack chives

Method

1. Finely slice the onions and chop the red pepper, removing the seeds. Cut the potatoes into roughly ½ cm slices.
2. Heat the oil in a medium (about 24cm) frying pan over a low heat and cook gently for 10 minutes until starting to go brown, add the peppers and cook for a further 5 mins.
3. Put the potatoes in a steamer over boiling water for 10 - 12 mins to soften. If you don't have a steamer, put in a saucepan, cover with boiling water and simmer gently for around 8 - 10 mins until just cooked through and drain well.
4. Break the eggs into a jug and beat with a fork, season with a generous grind of pepper and a pinch of salt. Use scissors to snip the chives into small pieces and stir in.
5. Heat the grill. Add the potatoes to the frying pan and fry for 2-3 minutes. Pour over the egg mixture. Cook for 15 mins until almost set and golden brown underneath - you can use a fish slice to lift the omelette up and check. Put the frying pan under the grill. Make sure the handle is outside the oven as it will become very hot and can burn. Cook for a further minute or two and serve with a large colourful salad and some wholemeal bread
