Please give me some advice on how to manage with a leg in plaster cast as I am at my wits end.

Non-weight bearing for how long?

You can get a plastic bag to put over the cast when showering.

Check argos etc for mobility aids. Shoe horn, long-handled grabber, trolley with shelf to transport things etc.

A small bag that goes across your body (I.e. with a long strap) is useful to wear or keep beside you all the time. Keep your mobile phone, remote control, tissues, chocolate etc- all the essentials- in it so you have them but are hands-free. Use capped bottles for drinking and one can go in the bag- so much easier than carrying a glass of water.
