Went to a textiles shop today and grabbed a few items and went on to do y other bits in town gt home to realise I was only charged 1.80 and the fabri scissors I bought were 4.99 themselves. It should have come to about £7 ad now I feel guilty for by realising at the time. Should I go back tomorro and let them no and pay the rest? I am just worried they may think I stole the items and have one back with a guilty conscience Hmm

No, don't go back.

ratbagcatbag · 28/12/2012 18:08

Hmmmmmm big stores I'd never even think about it, I just keep the stuff, I guess it depends on how often you use this place and how you feel about it.

I bought a jumper in primark today that was reduced to £7 and they charged me £2

I ain't going back!

monkeyfacegrace · 28/12/2012 18:12

If it was Tesco, Primark, in fact any large store, Id buy myself a bottle of wine with the change Grin

If it was a small independant shop, Id call them and then pop the cash in tomorrow. After all, a fiver would prop pay the saturday girls wages for an hour iyswim?

Im dodgier than dodgy btw, so for me to say the above is a rare occourence!

kickassmomma · 28/12/2012 18:19

It's a small independent shop and apart o me feels bad because it's there lively hood run by a few elderly ladies today is only the second time I've been there and the first time I was spoken to very rudely however they were very helpful today and I plan on using them a lot over the next few months

I would go back. It would feel too close to theft to me. Plus I know how tight the margins are for the little guy! I would feel like a cow.

HestonsFatCock · 28/12/2012 18:33

Are you near the shop OP? I would defo give the money to an independent, especially if you like the shop.

Ds1's nursery fees used to smart, but the nursery itself was round the corner from where we lived, it was a family run affair and they really loved the children there. They regularly used to undercharge, but I always made sure I told them and topped it up, because I loved the place and the staff. I am normally "well dodgy", like the poster up thread too Grin.

It was still there for us when I had ds2 five years later and it was like leaving him with family, so a good business is worth every penny.

porridgelover · 28/12/2012 18:47

See if it's a small place, I'd have to go back.... It would burn a hole in my pocket.
You never know, you could make friends; they will always remember you as the 'honest lady' that came back Smile

kickassmomma · 28/12/2012 20:12

I think I might go back then. Hopefully they don't see it the wrong way and think I stole them Confused I they do I'm sure CCTV would clarify!
