RE unsuitable new car

i should issue an alert before posting... this is well and truly a first world problem!!

My dh is very sweet and kind hearted. He loves gadgets and boys toys. Business is doing well and he decided to surprise me with a second hand 'new' car for christmas.

My car is old but reliable and i like the fact that the kids, dog and shopping all fit in it and it doesnt matter how muddy it gets.

the new car is a very sporty/ flash looking 3 door convertible mini. i am down to earth non- glamorous 40 year old who more suited to an old saab.

i just put our wellies in the boot and the boot is totally full. i wont be able to fit a week's shopping in it. and the dd's wont be able to get in and out alone as it has 3 doors.

i really dont want to hurt dh's feelings but surely i need to say something. how should i handle this? ( a little bit of me feels that dh has bought himself his ideal car but has ignored the practical side of things) does that sound mean?

WWYD??

Keep it and love it! You will especially when summer comes.

They are more practical than they look and if you can't get all the shipping in the boot and back seats then get it delivered and have many mini adventures instead.

What a lovly DH you have

Ps- he wouldn't have bought it for himself. It's far to feminine (being convertible adding to that)
