How long does it take to establish a blog?

I've been blogging for about 7 months, was getting about 300 page views per day (approx 1500 per week) on my blogger statistics and now having installed google analytics (apparently more accurate) it turns out that my REAL statistics are more like 500 per week!
I was a bit demoralised, although also telling myself not to get hung up on statistics.....what are people's views? How long does it take a blog to become established? Http:3childrenandit.blogspot.co.uk

Depends. Do you use social media? Comment on other's blogs so they'll come to yours?

How long is a piece of string?

I've been blogging for 5 years this January and have nice, small following, which is all I want.

I know people who have been blogging about a year and have managed to make money and a name for themselves doing it.

I'm 3 Children and It! Some days I just find it demoralising so I need to remember that I'm not in it for the stats and fame/fortune just the writing. I do love it!

I've just recently started following you after coming across your blog on here.
I had a big fat nosey through your blog yesterday and love it. I have 3 daughters so can relate when you write about your girls.
You write so well and so interestingly, and it's nice to find a blog about children over the age of 3.

I'm new, was allowed on today! I only started blogging a few months ago and find it difficult to find the time, I get nervous that I don't have anything important enough to say, then panic that it's been so long since the last one that this one had better be good!

So I'm marking my place in the hope I can get some tips.

How long does it take to establish a blog? That's like saying how long is a piece of string (sorry.) It depends how much you promote it, where you promote it, and how much work you put into it.
I get about 1,500 views a month but I write new posts frequently (approx twice weekly) and put them on Facebook, Twitter, Britmums, here, etc.)

Well I've been blogging slightly longer than you (9 moths) and I get quite a lot less views so I'd say don't worry! TBH, everytime I check my stats I get all in a tizz about what I 'should' be doing, but then I forget that the reason why I started blogging was to enjoy it and to give me the push to do something other than watch tv Some people who I really admire follow my blog, it's inspired quite a few of my friends to do stuff, if I don't get 100 views a day then y'know, bollocks quite frankly, I'm a busy lady and I've got other stuff I need to be doing too
