Do I let DH sleep on the bathroom floor?

DH turned 40 two hours ago and has had a LOT of beer with friends this evening, plus curry, to celebrate.... He's been head down over the loo for the past hour. Do I leave him there, and go to sleep, or should I stay awake and keep checking on him? I fear he may be there all night - I can't get in there as he's a big guy in a small lavatory and he's blocking the door with his body / legs.... I've been banging on the door and talking to him and he is grunting/breathing.... WWYD? I'm a bit worried that he might choke. He hardly ever gets this drunk and I'm not cross with him, just worried about him.

I think if you're really sprouted about him then you need to find a way to get the door open so you 9am check on him. If he does choke or become unconscious while he's blocking the door theb you'll have no chance of ferrying in there to help him.

worried not sprouted!

Yes I think you need to get the door open so you can get to him quickly if you need to.

Yep nothing wrong with sleeping on floor, throw a blanket on him, but make sure you can get to him .

My DH has just stumbled in completely wankered too.

Im leaving him to it.

But Im a bitch Grin

Im sure your dh will sleep it off. If he has been sick lots, there prob isnt anything else left to choke on?

Thanks ladies. He slept in the loo for two hours while I periodically yelled out to him to make sure he was breathing (couldn't move him to open the door), then stumbled into bed and has spent the rest of the night crashing between bed and loo.... I'm not impressed as he's mept me awake all night, the bugger, and now he's fallen deeply asleep just as the kids want to give him their presents, and the loo looks as though Me Creosote has exploded in there. If he hasn't surfaced by 10 I'm going to fry some bacon very noisily and let the dogs jump on him....

Glad he's ok, hope he's well enough to get his presents from the dc soon
