insulted as the recipient of child benefit that I did not receive any communication

Yesterday a letter arrived for my partner (not the father of my children) saying that as he earned over £50k that any child benefit that came into the house would incur a tax implication for him!

So I am not treated as a second class citizen by having to be told that my child benefit will mean he pays more tax.

I think common decency would be to have sent me some communication. We both earn and pay tax, but we are not treated as a single entity when it suits.

You haven't even got a penis, you should be grateful that you're allowed to leave the house by this government.

You are not going to be affected - you will still get child benefit -

He will be paying the tax - not you. Are you suggesting that the taxman should be discussing or even intimating HIS salary with/to you? If YOU are earning over £50k - then yes, you should receive the communication.
