Adding the Amazon Affiliates links to a site/blog is a common first way of making a small commission from Amazon when anyone who buys something via one of your links. Easy in theory, harder making it happen. I've done quite a lot of research on this via numerous emails to Amazon, 2 things to bear in mind, firstly you only get your commission once the order has been despatched, not placed, that's ok I guess but also if someone first hears about the product via one of your links but DOESN 'T ORDER IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS then you don't get the commission unless they come back to your link to go back to amazon, other sites are more generous and record the clicks and then add an order from any link they have been too even if it's after 30 or even 60 days.
One way I think is to be upfront with people in your blog, so I say Thanks to anyone who has bought via Amazon as I get a little (and it really is little unless voulmes are high) voucher from them, also remember to write ideally about products you have bought and your genuine experience of them, it does work, but can't give up the day job just yet !
Here are some links I have put in to give you an idea of the language, you do end up giving Amazon huge publicity if you see the click counts vs actual orders. There are other sites that give higher commissions but would people feel comfortable buying from them ? I'm not sure I would.

I hope this helps. Apparently putting Google Ad Sense can also help generate some pennies too, I haven't done it as yet as I don't like sites that have lots of adds on them.
