Primary Schools - Tooting Bec

Dear All

We've just moved to Tooting Bec and we're loving it. Great location, easy to get to work and with Balham, Northcote rd, Bellevue rd and the commons all within easy reach.

Our son is not old enough to go to school yet but we're currently weighing up options. We've heard really good things about Fircroft School but I wanted to get some second opinions. If anyone has had any experience of the school it would really good to hear from you.

We live in Wandsworth Common and our nearest primary schools are Fircroft and Rutherford, the latter has yet to open. I too would love to know views on Fircroft and any information relating to Rutherford that others could pass on.

I know Fircroft very well - it's a very good school. Last Ofsted was good with maths particularly strong. It has a very rich curriculum with lots of wonderful school trips. It has a very mixed intake which is changing somewhat as the area changes but imo it's does very well for all the children with a lovely caring atmosphere.
