Tickers for Bloggers?

What do we think about automatic tickers for the Bloggers Network?

I don't know if it is possible, but if we could have a ticker with our blog logo and url, so that people who read our posts on BN could click right through... would that be good?

I have noticed that some people are doing it already, adding their url to the end of their post.

Obviously it would only be on the BN, not on the rest of MN. And it would have to be opt-in.

It would help MASSIVELY if we could have a nickname for BN that had blog relevant details, such as ticker, info on profile etc, that was separate from our normal posting names.

eg. If I could post as SaltandCaramel on BN, with link to my blog on profile, and keep MmeLindor for the rest of MN with a neutral profile that doesn't mention my blog

I think that's a great idea - I love checking out everyone else's blogs. Btw, yours is brilliant, really interesting and thought provoking. I'm stumblinginflats on my blog, but choochy on mumsnet.

Hmmm I like that idea.

That's a really good idea and shouldn't be that hard to do because they do something similar, at least with user names, for the Tsarinas.

When I post in my local, of which I am Tsarina, I have a check box to say if I am posting as TsarinaTee or just Tee.

Don't see why we couldn't do the same here for people who want a different username for blogging than for rest of MN.

And, to be technically pedantic, it's not tickers you're asking for, but signatures. Also a good idea for this section only!
