I love surfing too! well, that is not technically true as I can't surf! I prefer body boarding as I can vaguely do that. Well honestly I can't do that either at the moment, but did go once this year, in September, when I was having an ok spell I maxed my pain relief, suffered for a few days, but it was worth it for the magical moment of catching the same wave as my 6yo DD, looking at each other and grinning as we surfed onto the sand. Amazing. I would happily have been layed up for a week to have that moment.
I have so much to do today. But I suspect I am mostly going to be reading blogs
sjj I don't think there is much more huge stuff going on with my back than with yours, it is just taking a bloody long time to get over it, and every time I make progress it 'goes' again and back to square one. What I don't get, is that I have constant pins and needles in my foot and leg, which has spread to my thigh, so for example when I wake up the leg is mostly like when you arm has been slept on, gradually get feeling again as I move around, but always pins and needles there - i don't get that they are happy to deal with this via medication. I have been told 'if your foot goes numb, or your leg, then that is a problem and will have to be looked at' but, if that happens then there is a good chance that means the damage has become permanent. I don't get why they don't want to fix it before damage is permament, as clearly the nerve is entrapped. But, I have little strength to fight at the moment, and am just enjoying being vaguely pain free.
I am cautious about chiropractors, discussed with a neurosurgery linked physio as I have been recommended the same person by several people in my town, he told me that it could help, but there was a real risk that any manipulation could completely rupture the disc, i was like
But, i might go for a consultation at least and talk to them. I am probably to mention all this in my blog today as I been thinking about a few things.
Wow, long. I am not good at doing short!
