So today I had the glass replaced in the children's bedrooms.
I got home to find millions of tiny shards of glass all over the kids bedrooms, on the floor, over the toy boxes, over their rugs, everywhere.
Builder over the road did it, my home is rented so I didn't choose him but he seems nice enough.
I'm useless with confrontations, too soft really and well the horse has already bolted.
After spending 2 hrs cleaning up....after just getting in from work and wanting to spend quality time with my kids.....he turned up (after I left msg for him to come) I told him what it was like. He said he thought he'd done a good job and is mortified he hadn't and is sorry. What could I say other that 'umm ok bye', he's just called round now with a bunch of flowers n box of chocolates and said this is my way of saying sorry.
Again 'umm ok bye'. I had already explained that as 3 & 7 yr old walk round in bare feet that is was no good.
Msg also left with landlord explaining what had happened.
What should I have done/said?
