(Am I the first? haven't started this before, so hope I'm not trampling all over someone else's efforts!)

Can someone explain to me how it is that with an entire house needing varying amounts of attention, it's the bedrooms of my children that are the nicest, most 'finished' ones? It's a mystery. Ah well. Click here for a room tour.

An uncomfortable, sleepless night, trapped in hostile terrain.

There?s screams in the dark and I?m immersed in fluid, praying for my life.

This can only mean one thing?.

Nah, not a stint on the maternity ward but a ?fun? night under canvas.

Dilly I've just finished a huge comment on your blog then mistyped WP password and got thrown out. Don't suppose the comment saved did it? It was a good one in agreement with your great anti aging piece! Let me know if not and I will start again!

Not only am I still trying to get my toddler to eat something different (it's Sausage Casserole today) but now my husband is moaning about food too. Bonus.

I've written about my concerns surrounding parenting boys in the midst of men like Todd Akin, Ched Evans, Julian Assange and George Galloway:

Second campsite review from our camping tour of Cornwall. Henry's on The Lizard, pretty close to bliss!

I've written about the Assange thing, which I'm sure you're all bored of, but from the perspective that asks "why do people (other than rapists) want to make you think it's easy to rape by accident?"

I'm trying to figure out what to do with outgrown clothes (other than put them in the loft and ignore the issue):
Of secondhand clothes and hand-me-downs

My mum packed my hospital bag once and honest to god it contained only toothpaste & insect spray!

What's the beach etiquette when the PM rocks up right next to you on the beach without his shirt on? And how does SamCam stay that slim - she really is! On an amusing holiday experience - live to you from North Majorca - www.howilostweight.co.uk

A post from me today on whether you can tell much about a book from its cover, among other things:

The Colour of Love by Preethi Nair

Murdered for being a goth, Sophie Lancaster died on the 27th of August 2007. As a goth myself, her story and S.O.P.H.I.E, the charity set up by her parents are very close to my heart.

MmeGuillotine · 24/08/2012 10:32

Queen Maeve, I keep meaning to buy one of those for myself as the boys have all the other current Harry Potter Lego sets and I can't stop fussing about them when they break bits off. Clearly I need a set that is MINE ALL MINE. ;D

YoungDebbie · 24/08/2012 15:09

Here's one that will strike a chord with any of you who have just driven back from holiday to cries of "Are we nearly there yet?" from the back seat:

Do traffic signs drive you to distraction?

BaronessOrczy · 24/08/2012 16:04

I've posted a recipe for Chili Chocolate Pork with Mango and Watercress Salad - sounds bonkers but it really works!!

lexluther · 24/08/2012 17:33

It's DC3's first birthday party tomorrow, I've baked the cake and, well, that's it:
Getting ready for a birthday party ? less than a day?s enough time surely?

Today's post is hopefully a useful one for those planning long care journeys with children who are early in the toilet training process!

How to travel with a recently toilet trained child

I hope it's helpful.
