A SAHM speaks out!

Maybe I'm just being over sensitive but there seems to be alot of negativity about SAHMs at the moment, both on Mumsnet and in public forums and papers. Maybe its time for us to answer back? Are you a SAHM and have you ever faced these comments?

Saw this and loved it - totally agree!

Brilliant. Yes I have been asked what I do all day and am frequently told how "lucky" I am that I "don't have to work" by working mothers who have bigger houses, more cars, better clothes ... etc. Firstly it would COST MORE MONEY for me to go out to work so it is a luxury we cannot afford and secondly, here's a thought, I made some sacrifices to stay at home and look after my children. You know why? Because my mum worked and I know how it felt.
