I need help and advice re my wordpress please?

I can't seem to get going with my blog....Ive begun one with wordpress but see now that they dont allow adsense....is there still a way to generate income with no adsense?

I am a complete beginer and just feeling my way round the whole blogging thing...so forgive me if I'm being naieve!

What sort of income do you expect to get with a brand new blog? I'm not sure how much adsense pays. I thing you have to start out by doing it for the enjoyment.

Blogs rarely generate income unless you've been doing it for years and have, literally, millions of followers.

What do you blog about?

I'm on wordpress, and no, you can't have adsense.
I'm not being funny though, but if you are a complete beginner ten your blog won't be generating many hits which in turn will not be making any money.
I was under the impression you had to have at least a very good following to be able to make money via clicks on your blogs? For that you're going to need followers.

Wordpress is a really good system to cut your blogging teeth on and learn the ropes - great support on there and it's free to use (if you're on wordpress.com) - so maybe good to start out on there and move to a more commercial site once your traffic (and potential income) justify it?

But to my mind, the most important things about blogging are to enjoy it and have fun networking too (Mumsnet is GREAT for that). If you're looking at it more as a way to make money from home, even with a lot of traffic, the rate of pay per hour is going to be pretty lean....

Are you wordpress.com or wordpress.org. You need .org to add adsense plugins. I have just built my blog using .org and hosted by Bluehost. no visitors yet but that's fine as I seem to change thedesign daily, and it is giving me time to builda credible library of posts
