Posted late last night, but hope it's ok on this week's thread. A review of an adult book for a change:

Traveller of the Century - an epic book with history, politics, philosophy, love, sex, philosophy, adventure and literary translation! By Andrés Neuman, tr. Nick Caistor & Lorenza Garcia.

Could you write a novel with your teenage daughter? I couldn't since I rarely get more than a grunt from her. But Jodi Picoult did.

MmeGuillotine · 15/07/2012 14:29

I'm having a break from writing my novel set in 17th century France to write a couple of whodunnits set in 1840s Cairo and London starring Sherlock Holmes' mother as my intrepid sleuth. I'm a bit overexcited about this!

You have to forgive me - after a very long time I have finally got British Tv installed, so am discovering shows you guys watched years ago, but I have ranted about people who go on reality TV today.

There is a fabulous competition over on my blog to win a bespoke, handmade charm by Rae and Edward Fingerprint Jewellery It is the most beautiful way of preserving memories that I have ever seen! You can have your child's, your pet's or even your own hand, foot, paw or fingerprint on it. I bought one last year and I would buy another one tomorrow! They are simply gorgeous and you have the chance to win one!!! What are you waiting for!!!

Evening all! My little lad has taken part in our local carnival. He and his Mum led the parade (I was so proud!) and had a stand for their community playgroup. Here he talks about it from his perspective... www.thisisarchie.wordpress.com
