Kendal mint cake dilemma

I need the wisdom of Mumsnet...

My husband bought me Kendal mint cake as one of my birthday presents. He's got a bee in his bonnet that I should try Kendal mint cake because I used to live in Kendal. I don't really see what that's got to do with anything. It's supposed to be rank and it's not like he's bought me the chocolate variety.

So what should I do? Give in and try the KMC? Or be irritating and refuse? I promise to bow to your wisdom...

Feels like glacier mints... (dragging it out... Whatever happened to that polar bear...)

It's not as nice as peppermint cream. It's just minty and sweet. I can feel my teeth rotting.

Me and a colleague had a meeting in Keswick a few years ago and decided we had to take a detour on the way back to Grasmere just to get some gingerbread

I don't think I like or dislike it. It's just sugar really isn't it? Not a whole lot to dislike. But I can't imagine choosing to eat it. Not when there's chocolate around.

Note to self, must book DH a dentist appointment - he's just reached for another square!

Excellent plan on the Stilton - he hates it! Although he's now saying that it wouldn't be fair as he's tried it a few times. I love Stilton!
