Ok - have name changed for this one as is so specific.

Neighbor phoned me this morning to say that the builder who is currently working on her has has reported that her next door neighbor's teenage son has a gun (air gun / bb gun - she couldn't be specific) - and is doing gun practice in his front garden - appears the boy is missing more than hitting his target and those missing pellets or whatever they are land in my front garden!

She just wanted to make me aware of situation as I have a young son who plays in our front garden sometimes

I haven't witnessed anything and can not see evidence of it in my garden - but would I particularly see these things

What do I do?

Can you talk to the boy's parents?

If you can see the pellets coming into your garden, then it were me I'd be tempted to call the police non-emergency number and get someone to have a quiet word with the lad about gun safety. I had a bf who was hit in the leg by a stray air gun pellet that a teenager was firing randomly out of his bedroom window. Luckily it did no more damage than a paintball pellet (i.e. bruise), but it still wasn't pleasant. Also, my PIL's cat lost a leg after being hit by an air gun pellet.

PS, rather loving your typo "the builder who is currently working on her".

Lol. Well tbh the builder IS her husband!

Depends do you get on with neighbour if you I would talk to them. If not I'd call the non emergency number for the police. But if you have no pellets in your garden not sure there much they can do

this happened in my area...It was a 'dodgy' part & the police were called in, armed police.

I think maybe there is more to this story, as I read it in our local news, someone obviously thought it was a real gun & there was possibly threats...but a lot of BB/air guns can look very real and the pellets can hurt, a lot, I think that if there are kids near by or it is a built up area it is not always legal to use air guns - but i think that depends on the type of gun.

As someone else said you could call the non emergancy police number if having a word with the boys parents doesn't yeild any results..
