A Question About Cheryl Cole...

I have just seen her jubilee performance on YouTube....eek!
Everyone always goes on about what a crap singer she is, but she was picked as a winner on a singing competition, right? I never saw/watched Popstars, but surely it was picked up at this stage that she wasn't...em..."musically gifted"?!

She wasn't known as a massive beauty then either...that only came with her "wag" status. And she is stunning now IMO.So I'm taking it that her looks didn't come into it. And the others in the group seem to be decent enough singers.

I'm not looking to bash her or anything, just have been wondering why she was picked in the comp and if anyone saw it at the time etc.Was she able to sing then?!

I love Cheryl, I didn't watch Popstars but from watching clips she was an alright singer. I watched the jubilee performance last night and it really was weak I have no idea why. Maybe over the years she's become to rely heavily on the studios making her songs sound better and in turn she's not using her voice to its full potential.

i remember LOVING her in popstars, she deffo had the weakest voice but was so pretty and perky and such a good dancer. so hard-working and driven as well. don't you remember the week she got through her bessie mate Javine Hylton was so convinced she'd walk it that she'd been campaigning for Cheryl.

BIG mistake. Chezza got through, Jav didn't.
