I strapped my 8 and a half month old baby in his rocker chair and he managed (I still can't figure out how!) to completely flip it on it's back so i found him laying vertically on his head. He must have bumped it when it flipped back and i imagine it was quite a nasty bump to his head.

He cried for about 5 minutes and has been acting okay but he does keep crying now and then, I have checked his eye dilations and they are fine but i am still wondering whether to get him checked?

It is a bank holiday so our doctors are closed except for emergencies.

If anyone had any advice i would really appreciate it,

Thanks.

If he is awake when he should be and acting normally I wouldn't worry too much. As long as he is lucid and isn't vomiting, he should be fine

I'd call NHS direct. In my experience, they are quite good with head bumps. They talk you through things to look for and don't just send you straight to A&E. Hope he is ok.

Take him to a&e chances are he is fine but always better to be safe than sorry give him some painkiller if you have any and give yourself a sweet cup of tea for your shock please don't feel bad accidents happen to us all just be honest the hospital will check him over hope he is ok

Thankyou so much for all of your advice, I gave NHS Direct a ring and they said take him to A&E because he was very irritable which is unusual for him.

They gave him the all clear and he is absolutely fine :)

We will not be using that chair ever again!

Thanks again for your concern.
