We are staying at a posh hotel in Knightsbridge, over looking Hyde Park, courtesy of lucky DS winning first prize in a raffle.

What would be top of your list to do in London this Jubilee weekend please? DCs are 11 and 7.

TIA

Take the 'Duck Tour'( details on line ) - the amphibious (sp?) vehicle that gives you a great tour round central London and then drives into the Thames and sails past the Houses of Parliament!

thanks default. We've did that last summer. i was thinking more about jubilee events specifically. Although the Duck Tours might be doing a jubilee themed tour might they?

OK- Jubilee!
Sunday is the Queen and other Royals sailing down the Thames. They should be at Waterloo by about 2.30 - 3pm.It will be amazing with a huge flotilla and a belfry ringing bells from a barge!
You would be able to watch from anywhere along the embankment.
If I was in London at the weekend,I would deffo be there-it is always so exciting to be where everybody else is-mad flag waving and really jolly crowds!
Top Tip - take your own drinks and snacks - everybody puts their prices up on the days when there is a huge event!

There is also a big street party from Piccadily down to the Mall. They are closing off Piccadily to traffic - can't remember what day that's on - perhaps you could check 'whats on' in London?

thanks default. I'm with you in that this is a one off, lets go and join in the atmosphere. Dh and Ds are being boring about the whole thing! I'll check out that street party - I like the sound of that. Thank you
