I think I'm first this week!
It's a Silent Sunday for me.

I saw an interview with a Somalian woman who was discussing her losses. Obviously, I found this absolutely horrific. I think about how all parents worry about keeping their children safe. I can't imagine trying to do that in the midst of a civil war. This is not something that I feel comfortable discussing with my daughter at present, but one day I will talk about the "bad things" in the world and hopefully encourage her to have the strength to speak out against it. I guess that is what this poem is doing. mommysnotes-yaffa.blogspot.co.uk

Hi all! My two-year-old has been on a trip to Bristol Zoo! He enjoyed himself, even though it poured it down the whole time. Read his own account of the day here: www.thisisarchie.wordpress.com :)

Hi All, hope my poem didn't upset or offend anyone. It is not a political statement. It truly came from one mother hurting for another mother, when hearing about her losses. It was written from my gut reactions.

I reviewed a lovely play we saw at Harrow today. It is coming to Bracknell and Buxton soon, so if you live anywhere near those it may be of interest.

Not sure it is brilliant writing, to be honest. Our PC is very unwell and so I was struggling to get anything to work properly which does not help at all.

Latest blog, freshly laid and gently steaming. Includes trouser comedy, dangerous belts and Nick Clegg.
It's short, which is no bad thing.

Jill2 your poem is incredibly touching. I think I know just how you were feeling when you wrote it.

On a much more frivolous note, this weekend I made a rookie mistake.

ImaginateMum · 07/05/2012 20:36

PetiteRaleuse - was very interesting.
