my 17 (nearly 18yo) babysitter for tonight ahd been booked for ages. we know her well and also know her parents. i trust her completely. i had a text from her at 4pm tonight asking if it was ok to bring her boyfriend whom i have never met. it threw me totally. wwyd given this request? i still dont know if my response was the right one or not!

I'd say no, you are paying her to work presumably? And focus on your children, awake or asleep.
She can watch TV and text him.
