newbie help with blogger

I'm really new to blogging and only just about computer literate. ATM I have a generic blogger profile but I'd love to customise it to make it more reflective of what the blog is about - Ive found some lovely wrapping paper that I would like to use the design as a back ground (its textured and not too 'busy' so I think it could work)- does any one have any ideas how I could easily do this??

Is it actual physical wall paper that you can scan?

If so scan it in and I'm sure there is somewhere in Blogger you can upload a background, although I don't know as I don't use Blogger.

Yes, scan it & go to your layout, background and then "upload image" and choose your image.

thank you for your help- I feel there is soooo much more to learn about blogging. I look at everyone else's fab looking blogs and get 'blog envy'!
