Roll over Cath Kidson - we've made a sewing box to rival the best!

Sometimes the movie is better than the book! My review of the book "Deliverance" by James Dickey

I'm lucky to be able to showcase this great guest post ahellofawoman.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/personal-challenge-2012-box-ticked.html which proves even when the odds have been piling up against you, you can still succeed.

THis is a bit more of a serious post - unexpected fundamentalists in Sri Lanka, where buddhist nationalists destroyed a mosque. i'm neither buddhist or muslim, but this shocked me.

Trying again rolls eyes

ThisIsArchieDad · 02/05/2012 20:22

New Archie blog! Today my little man moved into his Big Boy Room for the first time. It's safe to say he's really very excited about it all... www.thisisarchie.wordpress.com I'd love to hear what you think! :)

Flubba · 02/05/2012 20:23

This is a plea to you crafty MNers - one of you posted a really gorgeous scrappy fabric pincushion/cushion tutorial a while back - stitching together three or so pieces, then cutting it, then cutting again etc etc, and I think putting it all together diagonally, but I can't find it for the life of me and am hoping somebody either owns up to it (YAY!) or can remember who did (also YAY!) ?

RecipeJunkie · 02/05/2012 21:11

cake worth fighting over the bowl for - my own recipe too...

Flubba · 03/05/2012 07:37

I know it's not the great heights of some of your blogs, but checked my stats this morning and it's sitting there bang on 10,000 views! :) :)

pockledigg · 03/05/2012 09:01

Patrick Moore, not spending money on clothes and making your own 'sex pests'. You can't afford not to.

Sounds pretty good to me, Flubba - I'm happy to be heading towards 1000!

B is for Babar... The series continues.

Does your school have a Class Bear?

Snugglebuttmini · 03/05/2012 14:39

This is my first time on this post waves :)

I've got a few entries this week so far with top yogurts, rainbow cake recipe and a treasure hunt for me www.snugglebuttandtheminimes.blogspot.co.uk

I hope you will take a peak, I'm still quite new with blogging and appreciate support and comments! x

Flubba · 03/05/2012 15:52

It's been a manic few days, so haven't had much time to read or post much (but, at the risk of humiliating myself, I will say "You Go, Girl!" to StitchThis:) Blush), but have added a couple of short posts on some things I've made recently; a cushion for my eldest DD and a fabric hot air balloon.

BaronessOrczy · 03/05/2012 18:16

Isn't it horribly cold and soggy? Apparently it's going to snow this weekend Hmm so I made some roast red pepper and tomato soup to warm me up!

Congrats on the 10,000 Flubba - checked mine earlier and I was bang on 6,000!

ImaginateMum · 03/05/2012 18:41

Wow - that soup sounds delicious.

I got annoyed with Michael Gove this week, because the new phonics test is really not helping her:

A meme How and when do you find the time to in which by the end you can tell I'm getting a bit stressed by how long its taking me to finish it Blush

Teeps · 03/05/2012 22:43

Why is being a new mum just like starting at school? New uniform, new subjects and...the older girls.

A Funny Thing Happens When I Run: Introducting the Reverse Raindance

Not that I'm complaining...

Anyone else got the running bug at the moment?

thelastslayer · 04/05/2012 10:07

I've got a brand new daddy blogger guestposting on my blog today. He only started blogging a couple of weeks ago. Ed is sharing his plans to live forever and telling us when he'll be starting his panic-buying preparations in advance of the zombie apocalypse: ahellofawoman.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/surviving-zombie-apocalypse.html
