Did you purchase a Wordpress theme? Any recommendations?

Help! I'm ready to make the move from a Blogspot website, which I've loved, to a wordpress.org site, using a premium theme -- Based on what I read, I need the tech support & flexibility of a premium theme to try and grow my fledgling business, Mums Write! but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options out there - any advice or recommendations? I'm looking for something bold and fun, not overly feminine or pink, because I'm also hoping to get dads & granddads interested in what I do. Thanks! Joanna

I set up a Wordpress blog recently and went for a free one as there were so many great ones to choose from. You can 'preview' the look of your site before you purchase so you can see exactly how it would look - have you tried that with the premium ones? It might help you decide which theme to go for. I found it looked quite different from the standard templates they offer when I added my own logo/text/colours etc. What extra tech support do you get with a premium theme? Are you positive you will get more from paying?

Hi, I've just helped set up a charity and I'm also looking for a good theme to use for that kind of (small in my case) business site.
I'm just of for a look around wordpress now (I use wordpress for my personal blog). If I find one that looks like a suitable possibility I'll let you know but I'll be watching this thread for any suggestions too
