Anyone else thrown by the clocks going forward? I wrote my blog last night at Midnight and didn't know whether it fell in 24 March or 25! Anyway - hope it wasn't a bit presumptuous of me to start this week's thread, I did wait until the morning but it wasn't up and wanted to let my fellow bloggers know about the lucky escape we had this week, courtesy of my daughter's rare syndrome

Always enjoy hearing feedback and from new twitter followers btw xx

Oh, and am I allowed to say it, because I am so thrilled I am telling everyone who will listen....

My little blog managed to get itself on the list of nominations so far in the Mad Blog Awards for Mad Blog of the Year!

Even if it's just one nomination that has got me on the list, I'm so thrilled that someone's taken the time to do that for me.

Here is my latest and it entails a row, a new friendship and a Chicken Brick - who remembers them? They had their heyday in the 1970s/80s but are having a bit of a comeback I'm told!

Congratulations yummymummyreally. I found out today that I've been nominated in the Best Blog Writer category for the MADS and I am really chuffed too. I know the chances of winning are extremely small, but it's just fantastic to think that somebody likes what you do enough to take the time to nominate.

I have written a post today shamelessly begging for more nominations because I figure you've got to at least have a go, and if nothing else it's an excuse to roll out the picture of me with Jedward again...

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias · 28/03/2012 21:52

Congratulations to yummymummy and JoanneMallon, that's so exciting for you both! I've just been on to the awards and had a lovely time nominating and voting for you both, along with some other fabulous MN bloggers.

Also, the world's least appealing name for a pie.

JoanneMallon · 28/03/2012 22:13

Thank you Outrageous! That's really kind of you. I'm trying not to think about it too much now, I'm sure it must be very boring for everyone else to have endless bloggers hassling for votes.

Short but concise rant on Cameron's Pissy Beer Tax. Also contains a picture of a nice glass of homebrew. Beer Porn.

Thank you OutrageousFlavourlikeFreesias! I very much appreciate it. like Joanne (congratulations Joanne!) I'm trying not to think about it too much, but it's so lovely that people are taking the time to nominate. Grin

A blog about my teenage son, contains monobrows, comparing him to the life cycle of a caterpillar and Kenneth William's nose flaring.

Can't Beat The Classics

I am going to pick this weeks classic very carefully as I think I scared some people with last weeks choice. If you are brave and would like to see last weeks post click here. If you are still scarred from the experience, I am very sorry! Hopefully this weeks post will make it up to you.
