Plug-ins: please could you recommend one for 'most popular posts' and social media e.g. retweet this, 'like' it...?

Two queries:

  1. I'd like to give readers an option after each post to tweet or 'like' on FB what I've written. Could you tell me how I do this? I've got the 'ultimate follow me' plug-in but it only seems to give the option of sending readers to my FB page (and as my blog is anonymous I don't want to do that) - what I'm after is the little icons some bloggers have after each post that make it easy for people to share it via their own FB/twitter accounts. Can anyone tell me how I do this?

  2. I've been browsing 'most popular posts' plug-ins and wanted to know: do they all choose the posts according to how many comments are on there? Or do some choose them according to viewing stats? And can you add your own choices or is it all automatic?

V grateful for any advice you can give

The 'you might also like' is a widget/plug in called Link Within. It randomly pulls up related posts and I think the longer you have it, the better it gets at pulling up relevant posts. It's very good for making your blog more sticky and keeping readers sticking around.

The easy tweety button is called Tweetmeme Both very easy to install (I managed it).

Gah, the link within widget only works on self-hosted Wordpress blogs.

What platform do you use for your blog?

I got link within to work on my blogger blog - To get it I clicked on the link on another blogger blog. You could click mine and see if it works Truly Myrtle
