and before you know it you will be old...what i mean is it seems a short while since my children were born and now they are teens and i feel like saying stop the world slow it down - about lots of life not just chhildren..!!.i feel that i dont mark time and events v well, and life is a blur even when not done loads..what would you do to take time to approiciate and notice life and try to avoid the feeling that its all going too fast..??
..eg we cant afford a good holiday and i know we will regret not going but we dont have the time to save up as othe r life things get in the ways and we will not go ...eg we want to take the kids to mnorway or Usa but in reality they would be grown up before we cold afford it.Its not just big things like a holiday its the day to day feeling of were did that day- or year !!- go ............thanks - this feeling is quite difficult to explain ....

You have to

Be grateful for what you've got

Not get bogged down in the minutae of everyday life, appointments, paperwork etc

Make time to go out with your family and slow down and be in the moment not worrying about what to make for dinner etc

Its not always about spending ££ on a massive holiday. How much fun would camping in the back garden be if you all did it together? (or you could send H out with the kids while you have a spa break in your bathroom, even better)

Also, life feels fast to adults- but when you are a child 5 minutes is a lifetime

I know the feeling but haven't got the answers. I think the only thing for it is to enjoy every day and take pleasure in the small things.

I have 'moments' when something happens - it may be just something trivial - and I think that's one to remember.

I know what you mean though - it only seems yesterday that ds was born, and he's off to the UK for sixth form in September. I think life speeds up when you have kids.
