Hello
I really hope i can get some adivce from mothers from here
I have a son who is two and 5 months, he has had a dummy and very attached to them.
i started potty training a few weeks ago. ( really thought he was ready ) I had him in pants and we did have a few wee accidents but no poo ones. my son goes to his grandmas on a tuesday and granny on a wednesday as i work part time. He had one accident and grandma put him in pull ups and he was doing well in them, so decided to keep using them. now i feel he has gone backwards nappies wet refusing to go on potty and weeing on the floor. I really dont know what to do , may be he was not ready in the first place, please any one give me some adivce as i feel very confused and so want to do the right thing by my son.

Also about the dummies do i wait til potty training over then get rid of them?

thanks in advance

Give potty training a break - he's not ready yet.

I'd work on getting rid of the dummies first, then hopefully he'll be ready to potty train. And next time you start it talk with the grannies first to say no nappies, no matter what...

Im in a similar situation, My little girl is 2 and a half and also has a dummy, shes fine at having a wee but having a poo is a different matter.
If you think hes ready to be toilet trained id do that first as my litter girl likes to have her dummy for comfort on the toilet.
If you start and stop potty training him he might be the one getting confused, dont go back when you've started, stick at it an you will get there it sometimes just takes a while.
good luck
