Learning to dance without my partner

Right, this might sound a bit weird and I'm not even sure if I'm in the right section but I just need a bit of external input. My partner hates dancing either doing it or watching it anything dance related makes him really uncomfortable. I love love love to dance. I get ants in my pants listening to the radio when I'm driving and I have no outlet for it since my partner won't come out dancing with me and I don't like going clubbing with my girlfriends cos we all get hit on and it's unpleasant. And I'm too old for it anyway (or that's how I feel). I'd really like to take latin dance classes but I'm worried that my partner might feel very a bit threatened by me going and dancing potentially with other men. I don't know what I'm expecting to hear back, I suppose I'm just wondering what to do next.

I'd discuss with DP that the reason you're going is purely based on how much you love to dance. It's a great way to keep fit and oodles of fun.

From my experience these classes also tend to be very women heavy so you end up dancing with other women more than men. Possibly as a lot of men feel the same way as your partner.

Plus you never know, once he's seen your new moves he might be dying for a try himself :o
