My dd is in reception, there is a girl in her class who is dropped off and picked up by her dad.
Most days they come on a bike, the little girl in a seat on the back, not strapped in.
Many afternoons while waiting for pick up, the dad will come and chat with me. Today he did and I could really smell alcohol on his breath.
I later saw him driving his dd in a car, the child was not in a car seat and not even strapped into the car.
Is there anything I can do? What would you do? I feel quite scared for this girls safety in the car.

Write down his registration plate and report him?
Tell the school?

would def mention to the teachers (in confidence!) they need to be aware

He might have just had a pint with a mate before picking up his kid. That isn't illegal. If he was slurring his speech, or clearly under the influence then I agree you should be concerned.

I am not saying it is illegal to have a drink with a friend.. Techno. It is illegal to transport a child unrestrained in a car.

Oh.....

Sorry, I completely missed that line.

Blimey, you are completely correct. That is one of my pet hates!

I would definitely report it!
