To school or stay home

DS (4) has a bit of a cough/cold, no temperature and fine in himself but I've just discovered a rash all over his tummy. He is bouncing around as normal and wants to go to school but I'm not sure school would be happy to have him. If there was no rash I would definitely send him. Can I ask for some opinions - should I send him or keep him home?

What sort of rash? Is it likely to be contact dermitis (mild topical allergy?)

ps: I'd probably send him, having assumed it's just a mild skin thing.

Thanks for your reply. I did send him and he's been fine all day. Probably just another virus!

I took DTs to Dr once when they had sniffles and he said when children have viral infections they do tend to have a slight rash on their belly/chest.
