WWYD?
I have a couple of old soft toys of mine from the 70's currently resident in the attic as we have no space and DC would just trash them. I have been watching eBay and one of the same has just sold for £46
So should I sell it an hope to make the same or keep it bagged for DC to sell when they are 18+
Not desperate for the money now but it would be useful
Think this particular item may be getting a higher price currently as the new Muppets film is out so should I go for it now?

flog it, i would.

no wait, go and get it and put it on your bed, I would.

was that helpful!?? Confused (going to see the Muppets Movie tomorrow!)

cyb · 16/02/2012 20:31

Personally I woudl go for it now

Or would I?

MrsSnaplegs · 16/02/2012 20:39

That's the thing it is of no value in the loft but what could it be worth in 10 years - maybe less if no movie supporting the interestSmile or twice as much????

Pirate cat if I put it on the bed the 14mo will probably end up trashing itGrin
I asked DH and his response was "it's up
To you"

Interest in the movie will almost certainly have helped the price. Can you look at prices for completed sales on eBay as see if there is a spike recently? If there is, stick it on now, or wait for the next Muppets movie to come out.

MayasPapaya · 16/02/2012 21:03

If the £46 bid seems unusual compared to other sales, I'd also read the description and the look at the pictures closely, it might be in particularly good condition / come with original packaging / be an unusual variant ...

MrsSnaplegs · 16/02/2012 21:28

Mayas yep already checked that and no packaging and the same as mine
Will go check other completed listings but suspect these don't go very often as most stuff is modern versions

Does the completed sales info tell you how many bids were made? If it were me, I'd stick it on now - the underbidder may well still want one.

MrsSnaplegs · 16/02/2012 22:01

Ok about 4 of these gone in past 10 days started going for about £20 now seems to be much more interest hence the £46
Looks like DH is going put to the attic tomorrowGrin
