Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

Indeed, LetUsPrey Grin . Although mostly, as mentioned before, I like him best as Sherlock. It's odd really, as he's not my usual type at all, especially all pale and gaunt as he is in Sherlock. I normally fancy the typical action hero types. Maybe it's my age... mid-life crisis here I come!

SurferRosa · 16/03/2012 14:50

I think he must have that 'something' because he's not my usual type either holmessweetholmes. Totally hypnotised by Sherlock though, and now I can't get enough of him if only.

LetUsPrey · 16/03/2012 16:24

I would prefer him as himself because I get the feeling he knows exactly what he's doing

As Sherlock, because of the character, you'd have to show him the ropes.

Hmm, ropes ... that would be interesting ...

OP posts:
holmessweetholmes · 16/03/2012 18:20

Oh I think Sherlock would be a pretty quick learner. And quite, um, intense. Ropes, you say...

Settling down with the extra section from Third Star. Smile

Mini-interview from today's Times.

Anyone else want to check out his scars? Grin

OP posts:
SurferRosa · 17/03/2012 14:41

Oh yes please.

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 14:43

And kiss them better? Grin

OP posts:
SurferRosa · 17/03/2012 14:53

Oh yes. I did want to add that, but after my nudity question I was trying to pretend that I had some restraint. Grin

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 15:01

Restraint? You've lost me.

Although I would be interested in a different kind of restraint as far as BC's concerned. Wink See my earlier comments re "showing him the ropes" Grin

OP posts:
SurferRosa · 17/03/2012 15:15

I did Grin at that. I love the idea of being shown a thing or two by 'real' BC or showing Sherlock a thing or two, depending on my mood. (filthy in both cases obviously).

holmessweetholmes · 17/03/2012 15:45

Someone over on the 'franglais' thread who is in France was just talking about the delights of watching Sherlock on French tv (speaking French). BC speaking French would no doubt be swoonworthy, but only in his own very sexy voice, not dubbed, don't we think?

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 16:44

I just merged the last two posts in my head and am Blush and Grin at the thought of being shown a thing or two by BC whilst he's whispering dirty things to me in French.

Oh my oh my oh yes!

OP posts:
SurferRosa · 17/03/2012 19:23

You are a very bad influence LetUsPrey. I like it. Grin

Dubbed Sherlock isn't quite the same is it?

Fluffymonster · 17/03/2012 21:30

Heya - hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I've been in a bit of a grump as after waiting for weeks and weeks, signing up for emails, eagerly scouring Twitter etc., it doesn't look as though any of my local cinemas are participating in the encore screenings of Frankenstein (so far, but not holding my breath any more). Bit gutted.

Still, have been kept amused and maybe a little inspired by all this talk of 'restraint', (that'll be my BC dream fodder for tonight then). I think Sherlock's rather stern British accent is the best btw.

The Arena prog on BBC2 is starting nowish at 9.30pm. Going to give it a go!

And here is a sort of prelude to Starter For 10, which will be on our TV screens soon (is it Monday?? Can't remember, I'm sure someone will enlighten) .

(1.50mins onwards is quite funny - Size 11 feet? Corrrr... Grin)

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 21:51

I've always thought that he looked like he had quite big feet. The next thought is usually mmmmm Grin

Gawd, he's reading from Wiliam Golding's war diaries. He can even make that sound very senusal.

HazeltheMcWitch · 17/03/2012 21:54

Senusal ?? Sensual, dagnammit.

CaveMum · 17/03/2012 22:08

For all you Cabin Pressure fans out there, John Finnemore has tweeted this evening that today would have been a very good Birling Day - Grand Slam & Triple Crown in Cardiff Wink

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 22:18

I'm recording the William Golding programme.

The Welsh rugby result reminded me of Cabin Pressure! I'm partway through the one where they're taking the trek people to see the polar bears. I completely love Stephani Cole as Carolyn. Grin

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2012 22:19

Don't know where Stephanie's last "e" went.

Managed to get away with watching the William Golding programme without OH catching on (though he did say 'Ah, that's why we're watching it'...) - in any case he thought that BC was the best of the readers: 'the man's clearly intelligent; it's obvious why you rate him as an actor'). Close, but not that close...
Anyway, I found this: don't know where it originates from, but it's my BC-ish offering of the day. Enjoy, while I contemplate applying Savlon to BC's scars...

'Twas dismal, and the sirened cars
Did wail and rumble in the street:
All baffled were the inspectors,
And the DI sighed deep.

"Beware the brash Sherlock, Watson!
The words that bite, the eyes that catch!
Beware the deadly mind, and shun
The frumious Cumberbatch!"

He took his trusty cane in hand:
Long time the brazen Holmes he sought -
So rested he by the London Bridge,
And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The fierce Sherlock, with eyes of flame,
Came gliding through the London 'hood,
To take John on his way!

Left, right! Left, right! And through and through
The bonded pair ran roof and road!
He left the cane, and with no pain
He'd found they were back home.

"And why's thou with the freak Sherlock?
You did not heed my warning, John!
He's not your friend, he'll be your end!"
She grumbled til they'd gone.

'Twas dismal, and the sirened cars
Did wail and rumble in the street:
All baffled were the inspectors,
And the DI sighed deep.

LetUsPrey · 18/03/2012 13:32

Ooh very good!

I'll be watching the William Golding programme this afternoon in peace whilst doing the ironing.

Fascinating programme. Really enjoyed that.

Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy tonight. One of my favourite books and the film has Martin Freeman in it. Starter For 10 tomorrow.
