Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

Thanks for the welcome and the lovely link, LetUsPrey ! Know what you mean about not letting real life intrude. I nearly had to book therapy when I thought of him spending his life as eyecandy on the arm of an American socialite, and being type caste forever in US dramas as an English twat!! ( need a drink of water and lie down just recalling that).

I am gonig to spend the evening catching up with 'To the Ends of the Earth, ' and enjoying a nice glass of wine. Heaven !

Great site everyone. Just so much fun to read your comments.

Hello Smophette and sloppygirl!

Been a bit quiet as I STILL can't think of a second...it really has been ages since I've had such a big crush on anyone. There are a few that I quite like, but not to the same extent. I'm trying, I'm trying...nope, can't think of anyone atm.

Apart from DP of course.

Meanwhile, still waiting for a chance to buy tickets to see Frankenstein! Come on!

I think BC would get bored with eye candy and socialising after a while, even if he does enjoy it for a bit. It just doesn't sound like what attracts him, beyond a certain level.

sloppygirl · 12/03/2012 11:51

Hi Fluffymonster, thanks for the welcome. I agree with you about the partying; he seems too deep a person for that to become his life.

I ,too, am awaiting the chance to get Frankenstien tickets. I hope to see both versions with a friend and my teenage son. ( big Sherlock fan, but I have to keep quiet about my 'obsession' !! ) Don't have much info, right now, and hope they don't sell out, as there are bound to be limited performances.

Off to tidy son's room, ( YUCK !), and then do some work before I spend the whole day dreaming !

LetUsPrey · 12/03/2012 13:25

Not been having such a great morning at work so it's of even more vital importance that I have my gallery picture of BC taped to my computer monitor.

I'm torn between not wanting him to get stuck with the "we need a baddie, therefore we'll have a Brit" role, as against I think he'd be rather good at the evil villian type stuff and he'd be very hot as a villain. Let's face it, he's bloody brilliant at whatever role he plays. Smile

In fact, I've got a very interesting role in mind for him .... Wink

LadyClarice - where is that link of Paul Bettany from?

"Gay top"? "In a committed relationship with Russell Crowe"?

You know, since all this cumbersurfing and Sherlocking started, I've had a bit of an eductation in slashfandom. It's an eye opener lol.

Fluffymonster · 12/03/2012 15:37

Oops that was supposed to be 'education'

TheDogTheDogHesAtItAgain · 12/03/2012 15:39

If I Googled "slashfandom", would I regret it?

TheDogTheDogHesAtItAgain · 12/03/2012 15:40

Oh, and hello, btw Grin. I'm only into him as Sherlock, but have been thoroughly enjoying the thread so far.

IAmSherlocked · 12/03/2012 15:58

You would regret it if you don't want to read about favourite fictional characters in same-sex relationships...

So I'm guessing that slash fanfic based on Sherlock features Sherlock and John - ahem - you know Wink

CaveMum · 12/03/2012 16:04

Hello newbies!

Having read more than my fair share of Buffy Fanfic as a sexually repressed teenager I am staying well away from the Sherlock stuff!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 12/03/2012 16:11

Hi Fluffy. I just did a Google image search. There are loads.

TheDogTheDogHesAtItAgain · 12/03/2012 16:20

Bloody hell. I see what you mean. Shock

Fluffymonster · 12/03/2012 16:50

LadyClarice - ah that explains the rather inconguous slashfan profile, under the pic.

I think I'm going to stay away from the slashfandom thing for Sherlock too!

TheDogTheDogHesAtItAgain · 12/03/2012 17:04

Looks like it'd be wise Confused. I knew that people wrote fanfiction, but thought it was writing new episodes of their own and stuff. Had even heard of "slash", but thought it was some sort of extra-violent thing. I'm an arse.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 12/03/2012 17:18

God! I didn't even LOOK at all that ? was just focused on the image. How Blush. But also Grin

For the record, I am NOT into any slash stuff, for Paul B, Sherlock/Benedict, or anyone else.

Sorry if that link freaked people out.

Fluffymonster · 12/03/2012 17:50

It made me Grin, I thought it was rather funny (and a load of codswollop of course)!

LetUsPrey · 12/03/2012 17:58

Welcome new people. I ignore the fan fiction stuff too. Not saying it's not any good - can't comment as not read any - just doesn't interest me.

I'll post again. It's got a bit of something for everyone.

At work today I was typing a not very interesting document which mentioned cherry pickers and fork-lifts. There was something called a man cage and my first thought was "that sounds handy - just need to bait it with a good script and a banoffee pie". Grin

Still loving the thread, though mostly lurking. Loved that little series of interviews about Sherlock someone posted recently. I'm with Fluffy, by the way - I have no second. Only BC will do! Boring day at work for me today, but spent much of it staring at my current favourite picture which is the background on my laptop. Anyone know yet when Parade's End is due to air btw?

LetUsPrey · 12/03/2012 18:56

You're welcome for the Sherlock mini-interviews holmessweetholmes!

If you're not picking a second, I suppose you'll have an opportunity for a rest. It doesn't mean you get double dibs on BC!
