Hope this meets with your approval. It was getting a bit full on the other thread so we've extended and now need to decorate the new space.

For the walls.

I'm still trying to find a way to photoshop my way into that picture instead of Lydia Hearst.

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 18:58

I love that picture.

That stare Shock. It's pure "I'm going to rip your clothes off and ravish you on this table."

[gets carried away]

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 19:03

Here's some more photos from that shoot.

I can't decide on a favourite, but what I wouldn't give to be in this one

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 19:07

Hmm, maybe this one

Or this one

Or this one

Arrrghhh, I love and want to be in them all.

LetUsPrey · 20/02/2012 20:38

CaveMum - from that shoot it would have to be this one. Put me in that one and I'm saying to him "I'm going to rip your clothes and have you right here, right now". BC of course would say "yes please".

Also, do you think I'd get to keep the clothes and the jewellery?

Fluffymonster · 20/02/2012 20:49

They looked so hot together. Do you think they're dating?

As if it matters!

"...Oh what a shame you're dating a hot model, actress, and heiress Ben, now you're not available for meeeee - while I conveniently forget about my partner and two children..!"

www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=YNHrCM2XiQE

I'd still be jealous.

LetUsPrey · 20/02/2012 21:04

No no NO I don't need to see things like that! Nooooo! I'm sure they're just friends. And if I say it enough times, it will be true.

OP posts:
SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 20/02/2012 21:04

they never looked happy just posing

I love this he looks so happy

Seems such a shame that he and Olivia split up. He looks so adorable with her. Much more natural and less self conscious. I guess it was before the fame went stratospheric.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 20/02/2012 21:09

yum yum yum

Seraphine1 · 20/02/2012 21:19

As much as I would fantasize about meeting him, after watching those Youtube videos about the people approaching him gonig in and out of restaurants (while he's on a date, no less!), I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what to say!

The only other time I've ever seen a famous person up close, I totally panicked and kind of ran away rather than approach them. I was just to afraid I'd be a blethering idiot... I mean, who am I? I realise famous people are still just people too, but they have to put up with a lot of strangers approaching them and it must get tired sometimes.

What the heck would you say?

LetUsPrey · 20/02/2012 21:31

No idea. I know what you mean about freaking out when you meet someone famous. I'd played out a conversation in my head should I ever meet Steve Backshall (see post a bit further up). I fancy the arse off that man so when I did meet him, all I could manage was a "thank you, thanks very much" (for a photo with DS1 and I) as I shook his hand.

Think I'd be a bit more nervous around BC so I'd either be a giggling, babbling loo or like a rabbit in the headlights.

I'm obviously going to have to meet him at a very small gathering of two in private. Smile

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 20/02/2012 21:32

loo = loon by the way.

OP posts:
Fluffymonster · 20/02/2012 21:35

Yes he did look happy there with Olivia Poulet! But then it was before the fame went stratospheric, as you say SeaShells. I do notice that he's a little more 'guarded' now, in the more recent interviews compared to a few years ago - still very professional, and lovely though.

Anyway I love this Haagen-Dazs A List Competition Q&A particularly his views on dating, and where he sees himself in 20yrs.

A stonewall cottage overlooking the sea, in a temperate climate, with lots of kids? I could do that...

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 20/02/2012 21:36

I would love to play it cool, not scare him, strike a conversation, go for coffee etc etc...but the truth is I would do the same. Blush, be terribly polite and leave him alone as quickly as possible. Which is why watching Sherlock on repeat is probably better for us both Grin

Previous crushes-I forgot to add-Jared Leto, brad Pitt, mark Owens, Patrick swayze as a teenager, George clooney, johnny depp, Philip glenister (pregnant at time so I'm excused) David tenant ummm but none quite as much as BC Grin

exexpat · 20/02/2012 21:47

Hmm. Dating Lydia Hearst? Sure, she's rich and beautiful, but in that Q&A he says his ideal woman is 'funny and intelligent', and Hearst looks like a bit of an airhead to me. Not that I'm Envy at all of course. I'm way too old for him but I can definitely do intelligent conversation.

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/02/2012 21:55

Was that a date when he was walking into the restaurant? Him and blonde woman go in but 4 come out and he def didn't look like he was close to her in that way.

Fluffymonster · 20/02/2012 22:25

No I don't think it was a date as in just the two of them, as it was some sort of pre-Golden Globes Awards dinner for nominees, held at the restaurant. So lots of nominees and celebs there, for a big party. So they could just be friends. He seems to make friends everywhere he goes, whoever he works with!

Ah fame is a weird thing isn't it? So much scrutiny and speculation, and living life under a microscope. And having to repeat yourself to the press and fans, hundreds of times, saying the same things over and over again...If it were me, it would drive me absolutely potty - I think he does really well managing to stay polite and gracious. Must be difficult sometimes. I'd just die of self-consciousness, knowing my every move might end up being shared on youtube!

Anyway, if I met him in real life, as much as I fantasise about him, I think I would have to switch that off and just keep it very brief and polite - "Hello Benedict, I love your work, could I please have a picture taken with you? Thank you so much, good luck with the award/film/play/whatever." Just like the other thousands of fans he has to deal with I suppose!

See Benedict? If you're reading this, we're not that scary and are quite harmless really. Blush

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 22:45

BC is obviously a private person, he is never seen at the "trendy" celeb places being snapped by the Paps, so I'd imagine if he was out on a date he'd go somewhere out of the way and avoid all the fuss and attention.

I'll repost the interview he did with The Guardian earlier this year. Several of his answers make we want to melt including:

What has been your biggest disappointment?
Not being a dad by the age of 32.

and

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I wish I could say children.

[sigh]

Seraphine1 · 20/02/2012 22:52

Seashells and Fluffymonster - you two both sound like lovely, polite fans... he's lucky to have us :)

Letuspray - I don't know how you got through meeting your Mr Backshall - I would have been so nervous! I think if a meeting is some sort of organised thing - like an autograph session or a book signing or something - it would be easier as they are there to meet the fans. But to approach a celebrity out of the blue (and not appear like a deranged stalker?)... I don't have the guts for it I don't think.

I say I'm a gutless chicken, but seriously, I don't think I have a snowball's chance in hell of ever meeting him anyway - reruns of Sherlock are a much safer bet! My cousin lived in California and worked in a clothing store - she met famous people all the time, and wasn't phased by it at all. I'd just be left standing there like a babbling fool.

Seraphine1 · 20/02/2012 22:53

cavemum - that was sweet. Poor guy - I hope he finds the right girl and settles down soon.

SupermassiveLBD · 20/02/2012 23:52

Well done, you ladies. Keep it up! Grin

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 21/02/2012 11:27

New backstage pic of Benedict to appear in this exhibition, opening on Friday.

Fluffymonster · 21/02/2012 13:55

Anyone seen Inseparable? Just watched it during lunch (Thanks to Cumberbatchweb for the links).

Only 11ish mins and there are TWO of him! Grin

Quite like - intriguing premise. And as usual, brilliantly-acted.

Fluffymonster · 21/02/2012 14:13

Oh it's been put on youtube as well.

Fluffymonster · 21/02/2012 14:22

Omg. Why have I not seen this clip before?

Love the pretend sulk in the chess game (with his ex Olivia?).

I need a holiday. With him. Now.
