Hello everyone, it's been a busy week of both blogging and non-blogging activities for me. Handily my mum-in-law is staying as it's half term, so housework etc. gets done, hooray! So here are my posts for the week....

Thanks for the support yummymummy! I realise I'm taking on a lot of different things all of a sudden, but I suppose I'm just feeling a bit more 'free' now that DD2 is almost 2 - I'm getting a bit of my own life back again

Another post from me this week - career/job/work matters have been buzzing through my head for some time now and I'm gradually realising women who are mothers and want a career are in for a bit of a rough ride. I feel like I'm only scratching the surface with this whole topic, obviously, but these are a few initial thoughts/realisations of this week.

After rather a lot of soul searching and angst, I have decided that for the time being at least, I am now a full time novelist and very part time researcher. :)

Well done MmeGuillotine - great news. I am looking for a few spare hours to really read through your blog (I am developing a bit of an obsession with the dark ages, so I understand where you are coming from, and am also a part time researcher - lol, although not of history). We must be quite close to each other geographically as well (another one in the deepest darkest west country).

Thanks so much! I find the Dark Ages so interesting - mainly thanks to Michael Wood's brilliant documentaries about them. Cor, love him. :)

Ooh, yes - we were in North Somerset for a while but are now back in Bristol again. :)

I'm reading Michael wood at the moment! We're further west - in south Devon ooh aah...
