I am watching TalHotBlonde about online cgatroom deception. I am now more convinced about the dangers of people who are not who they say they are on the internet. Should we use one of the new services on the market so we can instantly prove our identity to protect ourselves when online?

How is proving our identity protecting ourselves?

If we believe as a mumsnet community that we can display a verified age group and gender that will exclude those who use anonymity to harm and defraud.

There are a few services which offer these services for example professional passport and the one I am joining www.trustedfaces.co.uk which uses a face to face Post Office check
