How did you celebrate, or what plans do you have??? Mine is coming up and have absolutely no idea what to do. My friends are from all aspects so I don't think one big party would work, bit disjointed. My best girl friends aren't all in a position to go away for a weekend, one would be up for going abroad, another would struggle even with a meal/clubbing night out. So will probably have to have a couple of evenings out with one or two different groups. But then, I don't feel that's very special....

Share something you love with someone you love!

For my 40th, my family, who all know and accept that I don't like big events, part paid for me and DP to have a weekend away on our own. We also did a meal out all together.

DSis organised a trip to the zoo for me and her v pregnant belly. A really lovely surprise and a fantastic day out.

For DP's 40th, years ago (well maybe 3 years before me), I arranged to take him out for the day while my family and caterers rampaged through my house, making food and preparing beds for his boys (special authorisation for them to be out of school arranged by their mother), his sis and her family, and a mutual friend.

I did OK-ish on the surprise, he had guessed about his sis and our friend, the boys being here had him in tears.

I saw a handful of close family members.

That's it.

(Was quite happy with that by the way, not one for huge parties these days :o)
